Before we had 1,000 superhero movies, M. Night Shyamalan stripped the genre bare with “Unbreakable,” a thoughtful character study about an ordinary man who, well, can’t break. Bruce Willis was actually trying to act, and Samuel L. Jackson brought his A-game. Audiences and critics were, uh, Split, but in 19 years “Unbreakable” has assembled a strong cult following.
With the release of the unexpected “Glass” (a sequel to both “Unbreakable” and “Split”), the Old Millennials revisit a favorite to see how it has endured after almost two decades. At the end of the episode, we also have a spoiler-heavy conversation about “Glass” and how it impacts the “Unbreakable” legacy.
Note: You can listen to the entire “Unbreakable” discussion free of any “Glass” spoilers.
