Ninja Turtle Talk Live returns from a totally planned hiatus with a discussion of the “Saturday Night Live” skit, “Middle-Aged Mutant Ninja Turtles.” Shaun and Tyler discuss the strange new world of podcasting during a pandemic, which pairs nicely with an “SNL” skit that was created for the show’s first “At Home” edition.
We talk about the aged turtle voices, how well the adult characterization match their teenage counterparts, the logistics of human-turtle offspring and whether “Middle-Aged Ninja Turtles” could work as a regular series. We also discuss other TMNT iterations where the brothers grow older. This is the first one that focuses on gambling addiction and spinal cysts.
